Park Boram, a rising star who gained fame through a TV singing competition and enjoyed a successful decade in the K-pop scene, tragically passed away at the age of 30, as confirmed by her record label in Korea.
The cause of her sudden death is currently being investigated by the police. Park's agency, Xanadu Entertainment, announced her unexpected passing on Friday, revealing that she was actively working on new music.
With her powerful vocals and love for R&B music, Park made her mark on the industry at just 17 when she competed in the 2010 series Super Star K2, ultimately finishing in eighth place.
She released her first EP, Celepretty, in April 2015, which included the hit single "Beautiful" and further solidified her position in the K-pop scene.
