A letter of undertaking, detailing the terms and conditions agreed upon by Nigerian artist Portable for the purchase of a N27 million G-Wagon, has emerged online following his arrest. Portable attempted to evade arrest by jumping a gate after failing to pay the full amount for the vehicle.
The car dealer's complaint led to his arrest as Portable still owes N14 million of the total amount. Voice recordings of the dealer trying to reach Portable were also shared online. The dealer requested Portable to settle the outstanding balance or return the vehicle, but Portable refused, citing alleged faults in the car.
According to the agreement, if Portable fails to comply, the dealer reserves the right to repossess the vehicle without issuing a refund.
